JSONTS ("we", "us") operates jsonts.com. This page explains what data we handle and the choices you have. The short version: the JSON sample you paste is processed on your own device and never leaves your browser.
Scope of this policy
The tool this page covers is JSONTS, a JSON to TypeScript converter. Put simply, it turns a JSON sample into TypeScript interfaces and types, handling nested objects, unions and optional fields, and the way it does so is this: it infers a type for every value in the sample, widens arrays whose elements differ into a union, and marks a field optional when it is absent from some objects in an array — so the generated types reflect the sample rather than a hand-written guess. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.
In day-to-day use the tool works only from the JSON sample you paste, and it is usually opened for things like typing an API response before writing the client. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.
What you enter
On jsonts.com the computation never leaves the browser. JSONTS reads your input in the page itself, produces the result there, and sends nothing over the network — which is also why the tool goes on working if you disconnect after loading it.
What our statistics cover
Analytics on jsonts.com are limited to counting: visits, a rough location and which tools are opened. The figures are aggregated rather than tied to a person, and none of them carries what you typed.
What you paste is not uploaded
Code, configuration, tokens and API payloads you paste into a tool are processed locally. Nothing is uploaded, so nothing leaves a copy on a server — which also means you can use the tool on a string you would not want to send anywhere.
Retention and security
There is nothing of yours to keep, so there is no retention period to describe for calculator input: it exists only in your browser tab and disappears when you leave. The site is served over HTTPS throughout.
Children's privacy
These tools are built for a general adult audience rather than for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and would remove it on being told.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and object to how it is used. Given how little JSONTS collects, the answer will usually be short, but the right stands.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data ever changes, this page will be revised and the date at the top adjusted accordingly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Automatic technical data
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process the basic technical information needed to deliver a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding which tools are used, and is never joined to anything you type into the tool.
Cookies, ads and advertising partners
We set a cookie only to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized advertising in your browser settings or through Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the tool: the calculation requires none.
Getting in touch about privacy
To ask about privacy, or to exercise a right, the contact page is the way to get through.
